The Position:

You will be involved in advising your client’s on their business affairs as well as helping them to achieve their own personal goals. You will be delivering a high-quality service whilst being responsible for managing the compliance portfolio and varied project work supported by a Director. This includes coaching, advising, and supporting team members in meeting client and self-development expectations.

Technical skills & responsibilities:
- Detailed working knowledge of all relevant auditing and accounting issues, including standards, guidelines, practice notes and relevant legislation
- Good working knowledge of all areas
- Strong experience across a range of computer applications and software
- Able to formulate reasoned views and recommendations, tempering technical knowledge with commercialism to address complex issues, seeking consultation where required
- Clear, concise written presentation
- Able to identify and resolve key issues from file reviews and discussions
- Develops and strengthens long-term relationships with clients
- Develops and is accountable for the compliance work plan and ensures assigned tasks and responsibilities are achieved
- Plans, organises and controls multiple tasks and resources to achieve assignment objectives
- In consultation with the Director to help develop solutions for clients and manages the implementation of ideas
- Advises, coaches and supports team members including providing consistent recognition and encouragement to team members to increase retention and productivity
- Successfully builds, directs and maintains a motivated team
- Manages the compliance budget and profitability in their area of responsibility
- Prepares and communicates budget issues, identifies opportunities to improve assignment profitability and maintains and controls WIP, billing and debtor issues
- Identifies client needs/opportunities to sell additional value-added services
- Identifies cross-selling opportunities and refers them to the appropriate team member
Practical experience & skills:
- Min of 3+ years PQE
- Experienced Client Manager who is currently working in this role or has done previously
- Excellent business acumen
- Strong technical knowledge and skills
- Exceptional client relationship skills
- Great project management skills
- Strong team management skills – the ability to lead, motivate and coach team members
- A sound understanding of market trends including opportunities, business and commercial issues
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified ACA or ACCA including all tax, accounts and audit electives with a wide range of post qualification experience and training
