The position:
The Tax Consultant is responsible for delivering our tax advisory services to the firm’s clients.
The role will involve the delivery of tax planning and tax advisory services across a broad range of taxes. This will entail ensuring transactions comply with legislation, proactively using government tax incentives for the benefits of our clients and helping to create solutions to mitigate tax liabilities.

Technical skills & responsibilities:
- To provide exceptional levels of service to corporate and personal clients on a variety of tax specific areas and to support the tax director with strategic planning, transactional advice and managing project work
- Work with partners to create and deliver innovative solutions for clients, i.e. proactive tax planning, delivering a unique benefit to existing and potential clients
- Strive to develop the knowledge and experience of our team
- Identify and mitigate tax risks
- Act as a focal point of relevant tax knowledge and disseminating that knowledge to relevant individuals across the firm
- Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within budget and timeframe
- Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent service and expertise
- Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
- Manage and coordinate tax audits
Practical experience & Skills:
- Proven tax experience
- Excellent knowledge of tax
- Strong technical tax knowledge across a broad range of taxes
- Good report writer and able to communicate complex tax issues clearly
- Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
- Exceptional client service
- Analytical skills with detail orientation
- Team player with a positive ‘can do’ approach.
- A pro-active personality with a drive to succeed.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of tax software and MS Office
Qualifications:
- Fully Qualified Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) with an appropriate level of practical experience
- Or Fully Qualified Chartered Institute of Taxations (CTA)
